NISUTLIN BRIDGE BASELINE STUDIES
3Pikas was retained by Teslin Tlingit Council to project manage the completion of the baseline studies for all aspects of the Nisutlin Bay Bridge Replacement project. The baseline studies cover various topics such as fish and fish habitat, water quality, sediment contamination, vegetation and rare plants, bird and bird habitat, traditional knowledge and traditional land use, bat and bat habitat, heritage resources impact, community and cultural values, expanded hydrology and icing, socio-economic profile, ice monitoring, noise, At vehicle and pedestrian paths/crossing and potential project interactions.
The baseline studies will provide the basis for determining the significance of effects. For some potential effects, standard mitigations can be applied to adequately manage project risks, while others may require more planning and nuanced approaches
