DAWSON REGIONAL LAND USE PLAN
The Dawson Regional Land Use Plan is a joint process led by Tr'ondëk Hwëch'in and the Yukon government. The plan is based on community engagement via open houses, paper/online surveys, partner meetings, and so on. The facilitation of meetings allows for key partners to provide direct input into the recommended plan. This process follows a similar structure to many other land use and engagement plans 3Pikas have led throughout the years.
The open houses carried out in the engagement process of the project all followed a similar structure, although the structure of these meetings was adapted to each community to meet their preferences. As the Dawson Regional Land Use Plan affects multiple communities, engagement is a critical step to accomplishing a final product that satisfies each communities unique concerns.
