TESLIN TLINGIT COUNCIL GREEN SUBDIVISION
The Green Subdivision is a new residential subdivision situated north of the Village of Teslin, encompassing Settlement Land parcel C-3B as well as an unoccupied tract of land under the ownership of the Yukon Government. 3 Pikas was hired to lead the Master Plan process for the subdivision, which includes extensive community engagement.
The proposed framework underpinning the Green Subdivision Mater Plan is inspired by the One Planet Living Framework and adapted for Teslin. The One Planet Framework is designed to create a plan that acts as a blueprint towards a more sustainable future. It comprises ten simple principles that cover all aspects of social, environmental and economic sustainability.
The Green Subdivision is envisioned as a sustainable neighbourhood that promotes a healthy and vibrant sense of community and diverse mix of people, places, cultures, and experiences.
